Default Berry the turtle

I walked around with (him/her) in the back yard. The pics. are not very good my camera kept fogging up, I would clean the lens , but they foged right back up.

I finally found a positive ID for this Box Turtle, here is a summary on this particular subspecies, ( I had first thought it was Ornata ornata, but it was Carolina Carolina)

The carapace is dark brown with yellow, orange, or red markings, marked with lines and/or medium dots. The plastron can be yellow, black or a combination of both. The skin areas are brown with yellow or orange markings. There are 4 toes on the back feet. Eastern box turtles live in moist woodlands. They are native to the southern area of Maine, along the eastern seaboard to southern Georgia, west to the Missisissippi and northward into Michigan.

btw willy how is berry doing? did your eye doctor give you an update?

(does this mean that berry gets free eye checkups for life?)

I have a turtle that looks like him that comes and goes in my back yard..John and I put out lettuce for him.. He keeps a small hole under my fence where he comes and goes from..
