Okay Pokemon and Vanniecat, help me out here. Let's compile a good list of books that will help pass those slow days that happen in summer. I know you both love to read, so what are your favorites?
We're finishing up Prince Caspian and ready to head on to the Voyage of the Dawn Treader from The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis. and I am enamored of the Mistmantle Chronicles by M.I. McAllister. there are three now, all starring Urchin the bravest little squirrel you'd ever want to meet ![]()

I got a children's book recently, Rascal the Tassel-Eared squirrel. It has beautiful illustrations, and lots of info on this species. It is recommend reading for all ages.

Although I haven't read the actual book, which is no doubt worth the reading, 'The Velvet Rabbit' has been made into a film. This story touches the heart of the child in all of us. Check your local listings for show times, or rent it to view on DVD.
